1 "Judge not, that ye be not judged; 2 for with what judgment ye judge, ye shall be judged; and with what measure ye mete, it shall be measured to you. 3 "And why do you behold the mote that is in your brother's eye, but consider not the beam in your own eye? 4 Or how will you say to your brother, 'Permit me to cast out the mote out of your eye;' and, behold, the beam is in your own eye? 5 Hypocrite! Cast out first the beam out of your own eye; and then you will see clearly to cast out the mote out of your brother's eye. 6 "Give not that which is holy to the dogs; neither cast your pearls before the swine, lest haply they trample them down with their feet; and, turning, rend you. 7 "Ask, and it shall be given you; seek, and ye shall find; knock, and it shall be opened to you; 8 for every one who asks receives, and he who seeks finds, and to him who knocks it shall be opened. 9 Or what man is there of you who, if his son shall ask him for bread, will give him a stone? 10 Or if he shall ask for a fish, will give him a serpent? 11 If, therefore, ye, being evil, know how to give good gifts to your children, how much more will your Father Who is in Heaven give good things to those asking Him?
