9 And as they were coming down from the mountain, he charged them to tell no one what they had seen, till the Son of man should rise from the dead. 10 And they kept the matter to themselves, inquiring of one another what the rising from the dead could mean. 11 And they asked him, saying: Why do the scribes say that Elijah must come first? 12 And he answered and said to them: Elijah comes first, and restores all things, and, as it is written of the Son of man, that he must suffer many things, and be despised, so Elijah is to suffer. 13 But I say to you, that Elijah has already come, and they have done to him what they wished: [as it is written of him.] Mark 9:9-13, Anderson New Testament.
