1 And from there, having risen up, He comes into the borders of Judea, and beyond the Jordan. And again crowds come together to Him, and as He had been accustomed, again He was teaching them. 2 And having come, the Pharisees were questioning Him whether it is lawful for a husband to send away a wife—testing Him. 3 And answering, He said to them, “What did Moses command you??” 4 And they said, “Moses allowed us to write a roll of divorce and to send her away.” 5 But Jesus said to them, “For your? hardness of heart he wrote you? this commandment; 6 but from the beginning of creation, ‘He made them male and female.’ 7 ‘On account of this a man will leave his father and mother and be joined to his wife, 8 and the two will be for one flesh,’ so that they are no longer two, but one flesh. 9 Therefore what God has yoked together, let man not separate.” Mark 10:1-9, Berean Literal Bible.
