But Mary stood outside at the tomb weeping. Then as she was weeping, she stooped down into the tomb,

and she sees two angels in white sitting, one at the head and one at the feet, where the body of Jesus had lain.

And they say to her, “Woman, why do you weep?” She says to them, “Because they took away my Lord, and I do not know where they laid Him.”

Having said these things, she turned back around, and she sees Jesus standing there, and she had not known that it is Jesus.

Jesus says to her, “Woman, why do you weep? Whom do you seek?” Thinking that He is the gardener, she says to Him, “Sir, if you carried Him off, tell me where you laid Him, and I will take Him away.”

Jesus says to her, “Mary.” Having turned around, she says to Him in Hebrew, “Rabboni!” (which is to say “Teacher”).

Jesus says to her, “Do not touch Me, for not yet have I ascended to the Father. But go to My brothers and say to them, ‘I am ascending to My Father and your? Father, and to My God and your? God.’”

Mary Magdalene comes, bringing word to the disciples: “I have seen the Lord,” and that He had said these things to her.
