13 What then shall we say of those who say, Today or tomorrow we will go to a certain city, and will work there a year, and will trade and prosper? 14 They do not know what will happen tomorrow! For what is our life? It is but a vapour, which appears for a little while, and then vanishes away. 15 Instead of that they should say, If the LORD will, we shall live, and do this, or that. 16 But now they are proud in their boasting: all such pride is evil. 17 Therefore he who knows to do good, and does not do it, to him it is sin.
