2 in these last days spoke to us in His Son, whom He appointed heir of all things, through whom also He made the ages, 3 who, being the radiance of His glory and the exact imprint of His substance and bearing all things by the word of power—through His having made purification of sins—sat down at the right hand of the Majesty on high, 4 having become so much better than the angels, as much as He has inherited a name more excellent beyond theirs. 5 For to which of the angels did He ever say: “You are My Son; today I have begotten You”? And again: “I will be to Him for a Father, and He will be to Me for a Son”? 6 And again, when He brings the firstborn into the world, He says: “And let all angels of God worship Him.” 7 And indeed to the angels He says: “The One making His angels winds, and His ministers a flame of fire.” 8 But to the Son: “Your throne, O God, is to the age of the age, and the scepter of uprightness is the scepter of Your kingdom. 9 You loved righteousness and hated lawlessness; because of this, God, Your God, anointed You with the oil of exultation beyond Your companions.” 10 And: “You, in the beginning, Lord, laid the foundation of the earth, and the heavens are works of Your hands. 11 They will perish, but You remain; and all will grow old like a garment; 12 and like a robe You will roll them up, and like a garment they will be changed; but You are the same, and Your years will not come to an end.” 13 Now to which of the angels has He ever said: “Sit at My right hand until I shall place Your enemies as a footstool for Your feet”? 14 Are they not all ministering spirits being sent forth for service for the sake of those being about to inherit salvation?
