1 And God remembered Noah, and every living thing, and all the animals that were with him in the ark. And God made a wind pass over the earth, and the waters subsided. 2 And the fountains of the deep and the windows of the heavens were closed, and the rain from the heavens was restrained. 3 And the waters turned back from the earth, going and returning, and the waters decreased at the end of fifty and a hundred days. 4 And the ark rested in the seventh month, on the seven and tenth day of the month, on the mountains of Ararat. 5 And the waters were going and decreasing until the tenth month, and in the tenth month on the first of the month, the tops of the mountains were seen. 6 And it came to pass at the end of forty days that Noah opened the window of the ark that he had made, 7 and he sent forth the raven and it went out, going out and returning, until the waters had dried up from the earth. 8 And he sent forth the dove from himself to see if the waters had receded from the face of the ground. 9 And the dove did not find a resting place for the sole of her foot, and she returned to him in the ark; for the waters were still on the face of all the earth. And he stretched out his hand and took her, and brought her to himself in the ark. Genesis 8:1-9, Berean Literal Bible. Public domain.
