15 And they came to Noah, to the ark, two by two, from all the flesh in which is the breath of life. 16 And those coming in, male and female from all flesh, they went in as God had commanded him. And YHWH shut it behind him. 17 And the flood kept coming forty days on the earth, and the waters multiplied, and they lifted up the ark, and it rose high above the earth. 18 And the waters prevailed and increased greatly on the earth, and the ark moved about on the face of the waters. 19 And the waters prevailed greatly, greatly on the earth, and all the high mountains that were under all the heavens were covered. 20 Five and ten cubits upward the waters prevailed, and the mountains were covered. 21 And all flesh that moved on the earth perished—the bird, and the livestock, and the beast, and every swarming thing that swarms on the earth, and all mankind. 22 Everything that had in its nostrils the breath of the spirit of life—of all that was on the dry land—died. 23 And He wiped out every living thing that was on the face of the ground: From mankind to livestock to crawling thing and to the bird of the heavens. And they were wiped out from the earth, and only Noah remained, and those who were with him in the ark. 24 And the waters prevailed on the earth fifty and a hundred days.
