And he made the breastplate, the work of a designer, according to the workmanship of the ephod, of gold, blue, and purple, and scarlet yarn, and finely woven linen.

It was square; doubled they made the breastplate; a span its length and a span its width—doubled.

And they filled in it four rows of stones: a row of ruby, topaz, and emerald was the first row;

and the second row was turquoise, sapphire, and diamond;

and the third row was jacinth, agate, and amethyst;

and the fourth row was beryl, onyx, and jasper. They were enclosed in settings of gold in their fillings.

And the stones, according to the names of the sons of Israel, they were two and ten, according to their names, the engravings of a signet, each one according to his name, for the two and ten tribes.

And they made on the breastplate chains, cords of braided a work of pure gold.

And they made two settings of gold, and two gold rings, and put the two rings on the two ends of the breastplate.

And they put the two cords of gold on the two rings on the ends of the breastplate.

And the two ends of the two cords they put on the two settings, and they put them on the shoulder straps of the ephod, toward the front of its face.

And they made two rings of gold and put them on the two ends of the breastplate, on its edge that was toward the side of the ephod inwardly.

And they made two rings of gold, and they put them on the two shoulders of the ephod from below, toward its face, right at the seam above the skillfully woven waistband of the ephod.

And they bound the breastplate by its rings to the rings of the ephod with a blue cord, to be on the skillfully woven waistband of the ephod, and the breastplate would not come loose from on the ephod, as YHWH had commanded Moses.
