3 And they took from before the face of Moses all the contribution that the sons of Israel had brought out to do the work of the service of the Holy Place. And they continued bringing to him a freewill offering morning by morning. 4 And all the wise ones doing all the work of the Holy Place came, every man, from his work that they were doing, 5 and they spoke to Moses, saying, “The people are bringing much more than enough for the service of the work that YHWH has commanded us to do.” 6 And Moses commanded, and they caused a voice to pass throughout the camp, saying, “Let not man or woman do anymore work for a contribution of the Holy Place.” And the people were restrained from bringing. 7 And the work they had was sufficient for all the work to be done, and there was excess.
