5 When the king of Egypt (land of bondage) was told that the people had fled, Pharaoh (great house) and his officials changed their minds about them and said, “What have we done? We have released Israel (he wrestles with God) from serving us.” 6 So Pharaoh prepared his chariot and took his army with him. 7 He took 600 of the best chariots, and all the other chariots of Egypt (land of bondage), with officers over all of them. 8 And the LORD {YHWH} hardened the heart of Pharaoh (great house) king of Egypt (land of bondage) so that he pursued the Israelites (God prevails), who were marching out defiantly (marching out boldly).
