1 And we turned and went up the road to Bashan, and Og king of Bashan came out against us, he and all his people, to battle at Edrei. 2 And YHWH said to me, “Do not fear him, for into your hand I have delivered him and all his people and his land, and you shall do to him as you did to Sihon king of the Amorite, who dwelt in Heshbon.” 3 And YHWH our God delivered into our hands also Og king of Bashan, and all his people. And we struck him until he had no remaining survivors. 4 And we took all his cities at that time. There was not a city that we did not take from them—sixty cities, all the region of Argob, the kingdom of Og in Bashan. 5 All these cities were fortified with high walls, gates, and bars, besides very many unwalled villages. 6 And we devoted them to destruction as we did to Sihon king of Heshbon, utterly destroying every city, the men, the women, and the children. 7 And all the livestock and the spoil of the cities we plundered for ourselves.
