This is the animal that you⁺ may eat: The ox, a lamb of the flock, and the goat,

the deer, and the gazelle, and the roe deer, and the wild goat, and the ibex, and the antelope, and the mountain sheep.

And every animal dividing the hoof and having split the cleft into two hooves, bringing up the cud, among the animals, you⁺ may eat.

Nevertheless, this you⁺ shall not eat of those bringing up the cud, and of those dividing the cloven hoof: The camel, and the hare, and the rock badger, for they are bringing up the cud, and the hoof have not divided; they are unclean for you⁺.

And the swine, for it is dividing the hoof and not bringing up the cud. It is unclean for you⁺. Their flesh you⁺ shall not eat, and their carcass you⁺ shall not touch.
