19 Then the king arose in the morning early and went in haste to the den of lions. 20 And when he came to the den, he cried with a loud voice to Daniel, and the king spoke and said to Daniel. O Daniel, servant of the living God, has your God whom you serve continually been able to deliver you from the lions? 21 Then Daniel spoke to the king and said, O king, live for ever! 22 My God has sent his angel and has shut the lions' mouths, and they have not hurt me, because I was innocent before him; and also before you, O king, I have committed no offense. 23 Then the king was exceedingly glad for him, and commanded that they should take Daniel up out of the den.
