6 And David went up, and all Israel, to Baalah (to Kiriath-jearim), which was was unto Judah, to bring up from there the ark of God, YHWH, dwelling between the cherubim, where the Name is proclaimed. 7 And they carried the ark of God on a new cart from the house of Abinadab. And Uzza and Ahio were driving the cart. 8 And David and all Israel played before the face of God with all the might, with singing, and on harps, and on stringed instruments, and on tambourines, and on cymbals, and with the trumpets. 9 And they came to the threshing floor of Chidon, and Uzza put forth his hand to hold the ark, for the oxen had stumbled. 10 And the anger of YHWH was kindled against Uzza, and He struck him upon that he stretched out his hand upon the ark, and he died there before the face of God. 11 And it was displeasing to David because YHWH broke forth a breach upon Uzza; and he called that place Perez-uzzah to this day. 12 And David was afraid of God that day, saying, “How can I bring to myself the ark of God?” 13 And David would not move the ark with him into the City of David, and he stretched it aside into the house of Obed-edom the Gittite. 14 And the ark of God remained with the house of Obed-edom in his house three months, and YHWH blessed the house of Obed-edom and all that was unto him. 1 Chronicles 13:6-14, Berean Literal Bible.
