And the angel speaking with me returned, and he woke me as a man who is wakened from his sleep; And the angel who talked with me came again and woke me, like a man who is awakened out of his sleep. Then the angel who talked with me returned and woke me up, like someone awakened from sleep.
and he said to me: “What are you seeing?” And I said, “I am looking, and behold, a lampstand of gold, all of it, and a bowl on its head, and seven lamps on it—seven and seven pipes for the lamps that are on its head. And he said to me, “What do you see?” I said, “I see, and behold, a lampstand all of gold, with a bowl on the top of it, and seven lamps on it, with seven lips on each of the lamps that are on the top of it. He asked me, “What do you see?” I answered, “I see a solid gold lampstand with a bowl at the top and seven lamps on it, with seven channels to the lamps.
And two olive trees are by it, one on the right of the bowl, and one on its left.” And there are two olive trees by it, one on the right of the bowl and the other on its left.” Also there are two olive trees by it, one on the right of the bowl and the other on its left.”
And I answered and spoke to the angel who was speaking with me, saying: “What are these, my lord?” And I said to the angel who talked with me, “What are these, my lord?” I asked the angel who talked with me, “What are these, my lord?”
And the angel who was speaking with me answered, and he said to me, “Do you not know what these are?” And I said, “No, my lord.” Then the angel who talked with me answered and said to me, “Do you not know what these are?” I said, “No, my lord.” He answered, “Do you not know what these are?” “No, my lord,” I replied.
And he answered and spoke to me, saying: “This is the word of YHWH to Zerubbabel, saying: Not by might, and not by power, but only by My Spirit, says YHWH of Hosts. Then he said to me, “This is the word of the LORD to Zerubbabel: Not by might, nor by power, but by my Spirit, says the LORD of hosts. So he said to me, “This is the word of the LORD to Zerubbabel: ‘Not by might nor by power, but by my Spirit,’ says the LORD Almighty.
Who are you, great mountain? Before the face of Zerubbabel as a plain; and he will bring forth the stone at the head with shouts: ‘Grace, grace to it!’” Who are you, O great mountain? Before Zerubbabel you shall become a plain. And he shall bring forward the top stone amid shouts of ‘Grace, grace to it!’” “What are you, mighty mountain? Before Zerubbabel you will become level ground. Then he will bring out the capstone to shouts of ‘God bless it! God bless it!’”
And the word of YHWH came to me, saying: Then the word of the LORD came to me, saying, Then the word of the LORD came to me:
“The hands of Zerubbabel have laid the foundation of this house, and His hands will complete it. And you will know that YHWH of Hosts has sent Me to you⁺. “The hands of Zerubbabel have laid the foundation of this house; his hands shall also complete it. Then you will know that the LORD of hosts has sent me to you. “The hands of Zerubbabel have laid the foundation of this temple; his hands will also complete it. Then you will know that the LORD Almighty has sent me to you.
For who has despised the day of small things, and they will rejoice when they see the tin plummet in the hand of Zerubbabel? These seven, they are the eyes of YHWH, roving about through all the earth.” For whoever has despised the day of small things shall rejoice, and shall see the plumb line in the hand of Zerubbabel. “These seven are the eyes of the LORD, which range through the whole earth.” “Who dares despise the day of small things, since the seven eyes of the LORD that range throughout the earth will rejoice when they see the chosen capstone in the hand of Zerubbabel?”
And I answered and said to him: “What are these two olive trees at the right of the lampstand and at its left?” Then I said to him, “What are these two olive trees on the right and the left of the lampstand?” Then I asked the angel, “What are these two olive trees on the right and the left of the lampstand?”
And I answered a second time and said to him: “What are the two branches of the olive trees that, into the hands of the two pipes of gold, are emptying out from them the gold?” And a second time I answered and said to him, “What are these two branches of the olive trees, which are beside the two golden pipes from which the golden oil is poured out?” Again I asked him, “What are these two olive branches beside the two gold pipes that pour out golden oil?”
And he answered to me and said: “Do not you know what these are?” And I said, “No, my lord.” He said to me, “Do you not know what these are?” I said, “No, my lord.” He replied, “Do you not know what these are?” “No, my lord,” I said.
And he said, “These are the two sons of new oil, who are standing beside the Lord of all the earth.” Then he said, “These are the two anointed ones who stand by the Lord of the whole earth.” So he said, “These are the two who are anointed to serve the Lord of all the earth.”
