1 But as for you, speak the things that are consistent with sound doctrine. But as for you, teach what accords with sound doctrine. You, however, must teach what is appropriate to sound doctrine.
2 Older men are to be temperate, dignified, self-controlled, and sound in faith, love, and perseverance. Older men are to be sober-minded, dignified, self-controlled, sound in faith, in love, and in steadfastness. 3 Older women, likewise, are to be reverent in their behavior, not slanderers or addicted to much wine, but teachers of good.
