<V 9:1>Unto the end. For the secrets of the Son. A Psalm of David. <V 9:2>I will confess to you, Lord, with my whole heart. I will recount all your wonders. I will give thanks to the LORD with my whole heart; I will recount all of your wonderful deeds. For the director of music. To the tune of “The Death of the Son.” A psalm of David. I will give thanks to you, LORD, with all my heart; I will tell of all your wonderful deeds.
<V 9:3>I will rejoice and exult in you. I will sing a psalm to your name, O Most High. I will be glad and exult in you; I will sing praise to your name, O Most High. I will be glad and rejoice in you; I will sing the praises of your name, O Most High.
<V 9:4>For my enemy will be turned back. They will be weakened and perish before your face. When my enemies turn back, they stumble and perish before your presence. My enemies turn back; they stumble and perish before you.
<V 9:5>For you have accomplished my judgment and my cause. You have sat upon the throne that judges justice. For you have maintained my just cause; you have sat on the throne, giving righteous judgment. For you have upheld my right and my cause, sitting enthroned as the righteous judge.
<V 9:6>You have rebuked the Gentiles, and the impious one has perished. You have deleted their name in eternity and for all generations. You have rebuked the nations; you have made the wicked perish; you have blotted out their name forever and ever. You have rebuked the nations and destroyed the wicked; you have blotted out their name for ever and ever.
<V 9:7>The spears of the enemy have failed in the end, and their cities, you have destroyed. Their memory has perished with a loud noise. The enemy came to an end in everlasting ruins; their cities you rooted out; the very memory of them has perished. Endless ruin has overtaken my enemies, you have uprooted their cities; even the memory of them has perished.
<V 9:8>But the Lord remains in eternity. He has prepared his throne in judgment. But the LORD sits enthroned forever; he has established his throne for justice, The LORD reigns forever; he has established his throne for judgment.
<V 9:9>And he will judge the whole world in equity. He will judge the people in justice. and he judges the world with righteousness; he judges the peoples with uprightness. He rules the world in righteousness and judges the peoples with equity.
<V 9:10>And the Lord has become a refuge for the poor, a helper in opportunity, in tribulation. The LORD is a stronghold for the oppressed, a stronghold in times of trouble. The LORD is a refuge for the oppressed, a stronghold in times of trouble.
<V 9:11>And may they hope in you, who know your name. For you have not abandoned those seeking you, Lord. And those who know your name put their trust in you, for you, O LORD, have not forsaken those who seek you. Those who know your name trust in you, for you, LORD, have never forsaken those who seek you.
<V 9:12>Sing a psalm to the Lord, who dwells in Zion. Announce his study among the Gentiles. Sing praises to the LORD, who sits enthroned in Zion! Tell among the peoples his deeds! Sing the praises of the LORD, enthroned in Zion; proclaim among the nations what he has done.
<V 9:13>Because of those who yearned for their blood, he has remembered them. He has not forgotten the cry of the poor. For he who avenges blood is mindful of them; he does not forget the cry of the afflicted. For he who avenges blood remembers; he does not ignore the cries of the afflicted.
<V 9:14>Have mercy on me, Lord. See my humiliation from my enemies. Be gracious to me, O LORD! See my affliction from those who hate me, O you who lift me up from the gates of death, LORD, see how my enemies persecute me! Have mercy and lift me up from the gates of death,
<V 9:15>You lift me up from the gates of death, so that I may announce all your praises at the gates of the daughter of Zion. that I may recount all your praises, that in the gates of the daughter of Zion I may rejoice in your salvation. that I may declare your praises in the gates of Daughter Zion, and there rejoice in your salvation.
<V 9:16>I will exult in your salvation. The Gentiles have become trapped in the ruin that they made. Their foot has been caught in the same snare that they themselves had hidden. The nations have sunk in the pit that they made; in the net that they hid, their own foot has been caught. The nations have fallen into the pit they have dug; their feet are caught in the net they have hidden.
<V 9:17>The Lord will be recognized when making judgments. The sinner has been caught in the works of his own hands. The LORD has made himself known; he has executed judgment; the wicked are snared in the work of their own hands. Higgaion. Selah The LORD is known by his acts of justice; the wicked are ensnared by the work of their hands.
<V 9:18>The sinners will be turned into Hell: all the Gentiles who have forgotten God. The wicked shall return to Sheol, all the nations that forget God. The wicked go down to the realm of the dead, all the nations that forget God.
<V 9:19>For the poor will not be forgotten in the end. The patience of the poor will not perish in the end. For the needy shall not always be forgotten, and the hope of the poor shall not perish forever. But God will never forget the needy; the hope of the afflicted will never perish.
<V 9:20>Rise up, Lord: do not let man be strengthened. Let the Gentiles be judged in your sight. Arise, O LORD! Let not man prevail; let the nations be judged before you! Arise, LORD, do not let mortals triumph; let the nations be judged in your presence.
<V 9:21>O Lord, establish a lawgiver over them, so that the Gentiles may know that they are only men. Put them in fear, O LORD! Let the nations know that they are but men! Selah Strike them with terror, LORD; let the nations know they are only mortal.
