1 For the music director; according to the gittith style; by Asaph. Shout for joy to God, our source of strength! Shout out to the God of Jacob! 2 Sing a song and play the tambourine, the pleasant sounding harp, and the ten-stringed instrument! Raise a song; sound the tambourine, the sweet lyre with the harp. Begin the music, strike the timbrel, play the melodious harp and lyre.
3 Sound the ram's horn on the day of the new moon, and on the day of the full moon when our festival begins. Blow the trumpet at the new moon, at the full moon, on our feast day. Sound the ram’s horn at the New Moon, and when the moon is full, on the day of our festival;
4 For observing the festival is a requirement for Israel; it is an ordinance given by the God of Jacob. For it is a statute for Israel, a rule of the God of Jacob. this is a decree for Israel, an ordinance of the God of Jacob.

9 There must be no other god among you. You must not worship a foreign god. There shall be no strange god among you; you shall not bow down to a foreign god. You shall have no foreign god among you; you shall not worship any god other than me.
10 I am the LORD, your God, the one who brought you out of the land of Egypt. Open your mouth wide and I will fill it!' I am the LORD your God, who brought you up out of the land of Egypt.
