1	For the choirmaster: To the tune of “Do Not Destroy (do not destroy).” A Psalm of Asaph (gatherer). A song. 1 We give thanks to You, O God {Elohim}; we give thanks, for Your Name is near. The people declare Your wondrous works.	We give thanks to you, O God; we give thanks, for your name is near. We recount your wondrous deeds.	For the director of music. To the tune of “Do Not Destroy.” A psalm of Asaph. A song. We praise you, God, we praise you, for your Name is near; people tell of your wonderful deeds.
2	“When I choose a time, I will judge fairly.	“At the set time that I appoint I will judge with equity.	You say, “I choose the appointed time; it is I who judge with equity.
3	When the earth and all its dwellers quake, it is I who bear up its pillars. Selah	When the earth totters, and all its inhabitants, it is I who keep steady its pillars. Selah	When the earth and all its people quake, it is I who hold its pillars firm.
4	I say to the proud, ‘Do not boast,’ and to the wicked, ‘Do not lift up your horn.	I say to the boastful, ‘Do not boast,’ and to the wicked, ‘Do not lift up your horn;	To the arrogant I say, ‘Boast no more,’ and to the wicked, ‘Do not lift up your horns.
5	Do not lift up your⁺ horn against heaven or speak with an outstretched neck.’”	do not lift up your horn on high, or speak with haughty neck.’”	Do not lift your horns against heaven; do not speak so defiantly.’”
6	For exaltation comes neither from east nor west, nor out of the desert,	For not from the east or from the west and not from the wilderness comes lifting up,	No one from the east or the west or from the desert can exalt themselves.
7	but it is God {Elohim} who judges; He brings down one and exalts another.	but it is God who executes judgment, putting down one and lifting up another.	It is God who judges: He brings one down, he exalts another.
8	For a cup is in the hand of the LORD {YHWH}, full of foaming wine mixed with spices. He pours from His cup, and all the wicked of the earth drink it down to the dregs.	For in the hand of the LORD there is a cup with foaming wine, well mixed, and he pours out from it, and all the wicked of the earth shall drain it down to the dregs.	In the hand of the LORD is a cup full of foaming wine mixed with spices; he pours it out, and all the wicked of the earth drink it down to its very dregs.
9	But I will proclaim Him (proclaim it) forever; I will sing praise to the God {Elohe} of Jacob (he grasps the heel).	But I will declare it forever; I will sing praises to the God of Jacob.	As for me, I will declare this forever; I will sing praise to the God of Jacob,
10	“All the horns of the wicked I will cut off, but the horns of the righteous will be exalted.”	All the horns of the wicked I will cut off, but the horns of the righteous shall be lifted up.	who says, “I will cut off the horns of all the wicked, but the horns of the righteous will be lifted up.”
