1 מִזְמ֥וֹר לְדָוִ֑ד בִּ֝הְיוֹת֗וֹ בְּמִדְבַּ֥ר יְהוּדָֽה׃ אֱלֹהִ֤ים ׀ אֵלִ֥י אַתָּ֗ה אֲ‍ֽשַׁחֲ֫רֶ֥ךָּ צָמְאָ֬ה לְךָ֨ ׀ נַפְשִׁ֗י כָּמַ֣הּ לְךָ֣ בְשָׂרִ֑י בְּאֶֽרֶץ־ צִיָּ֖ה וְעָיֵ֣ף בְּלִי־ מָֽיִם׃ A Psalm of David, when he was in the Wilderness of Judah. O God, You are my God. Earnestly I seek You; my soul thirsts for You. My body yearns for You in a dry and weary land without water. {{A Psalm of David, when he was in the wilderness of Judah. }} O God, thou [art] my God; early will I seek thee: my soul thirsteth for thee, my flesh longeth for thee in a dry and thirsty land, where no water is;
2 כֵּ֭ן בַּקֹּ֣דֶשׁ חֲזִיתִ֑יךָ לִרְא֥וֹת עֻ֝זְּךָ֗ וּכְבוֹדֶֽךָ׃ So I have seen You in the sanctuary and beheld Your power and glory. To see thy power and thy glory, so [as] I have seen thee in the sanctuary.
3 כִּי־ ט֣וֹב חַ֭סְדְּךָ מֵֽחַיִּ֗ים שְׂפָתַ֥י יְשַׁבְּחֽוּנְךָ׃ Because Your loving devotion is better than life, my lips will glorify You. Because thy lovingkindness [is] better than life, my lips shall praise thee.
4 כֵּ֣ן אֲבָרֶכְךָ֣ בְחַיָּ֑י בְּ֝שִׁמְךָ אֶשָּׂ֥א כַפָּֽי׃ So I will bless You as long as I live; in Your name I will lift my hands. Thus will I bless thee while I live: I will lift up my hands in thy name.
5 כְּמ֤וֹ חֵ֣לֶב וָ֭דֶשֶׁן תִּשְׂבַּ֣ע נַפְשִׁ֑י וְשִׂפְתֵ֥י רְ֝נָנ֗וֹת יְהַלֶּל־ פִּֽי׃ My soul is satisfied as with the richest of foods; with joyful lips my mouth will praise You. My soul shall be satisfied as [with] marrow and fatness; and my mouth shall praise [thee] with joyful lips:
6 אִם־ זְכַרְתִּ֥יךָ עַל־ יְצוּעָ֑י בְּ֝אַשְׁמֻר֗וֹת אֶהְגֶּה־ בָּֽךְ׃ When I remember You on my bed, I think of You through the watches of the night. When I remember thee upon my bed, [and] meditate on thee in the [night] watches.
7 כִּֽי־ הָיִ֣יתָ עֶזְרָ֣תָה לִּ֑י וּבְצֵ֖ל כְּנָפֶ֣יךָ אֲרַנֵּֽן׃ For You are my help; I will sing for joy in the shadow of Your wings. Because thou hast been my help, therefore in the shadow of thy wings will I rejoice.
8 דָּבְקָ֣ה נַפְשִׁ֣י אַחֲרֶ֑יךָ בִּ֝֗י תָּמְכָ֥ה יְמִינֶֽךָ׃ My soul clings to You; Your right hand upholds me. My soul followeth hard after thee: thy right hand upholdeth me.
9 וְהֵ֗מָּה לְ֭שׁוֹאָה יְבַקְשׁ֣וּ נַפְשִׁ֑י יָ֝בֹ֗אוּ בְּֽתַחְתִּיּ֥וֹת הָאָֽרֶץ׃ But those who seek my life to destroy it will go into the depths of the earth. But those [that] seek my soul, to destroy [it], shall go into the lower parts of the earth.
10 יַגִּירֻ֥הוּ עַל־ יְדֵי־ חָ֑רֶב מְנָ֖ת שֻׁעָלִ֣ים יִהְיֽוּ׃ They will fall to the power of the sword; they will become a portion for foxes. They shall fall by the sword: they shall be a portion for foxes.
11 וְהַמֶּלֶךְ֮ יִשְׂמַ֪ח בֵּאלֹ֫הִ֥ים יִ֭תְהַלֵּל כָּל־ הַנִּשְׁבָּ֣ע בּ֑וֹ כִּ֥י יִ֝סָּכֵ֗ר פִּ֣י דֽוֹבְרֵי־ שָֽׁקֶר׃ But the king will rejoice in God; all who swear by Him will exult, for the mouths of liars will be shut. But the king shall rejoice in God; every one that sweareth by him shall glory: but the mouth of them that speak lies shall be stopped.
