To the overseer; chanting of David. Jehovah will answer thee in the day of straits; the name of the God of Jacob shall exalt thee. May the LORD answer you in the day of trouble! May the name of the God of Jacob protect you! For the director of music. A psalm of David. May the LORD answer you when you are in distress; may the name of the God of Jacob protect you.
He will send thy help from the holy place and from Zion he will support thee. May he send you help from the sanctuary and give you support from Zion! May he send you help from the sanctuary and grant you support from Zion.
He will remember all thy gifts, and he will make fat thy burnt-offerings. Silence. May he remember all your offerings and regard with favor your burnt sacrifices! Selah May he remember all your sacrifices and accept your burnt offerings.
He will give to thee according to thy heart, and fill up all thy counsel. May he grant you your heart’s desire and fulfill all your plans! May he give you the desire of your heart and make all your plans succeed.
We will rejoice in thy salvation, and in the name of our God we will cover over: Jehovah will fill up all our petitions. May we shout for joy over your salvation, and in the name of our God set up our banners! May the LORD fulfill all your petitions! May we shout for joy over your victory and lift up our banners in the name of our God. May the LORD grant all your requests.
Now I knew that Jehovah saved his Messiah; he will answer him from his holy heavens by the strength of the salvation of his right hand. Now I know that the LORD saves his anointed; he will answer him from his holy heaven with the saving might of his right hand. Now this I know: The LORD gives victory to his anointed. He answers him from his heavenly sanctuary with the victorious power of his right hand.
These in chariots, and these in horses: and in the name of Jehovah our God will we remember. Some trust in chariots and some in horses, but we trust in the name of the LORD our God. Some trust in chariots and some in horses, but we trust in the name of the LORD our God.
They bowed down and they fell: and we arose, and we shall stand erect. They collapse and fall, but we rise and stand upright. They are brought to their knees and fall, but we rise up and stand firm.
O Jehovah, save: the king he will answer us in the day of our calling. O LORD, save the king! May he answer us when we call. LORD, give victory to the king! Answer us when we call!
