1 <V 19:1>Unto the end. A Psalm of David. <V 19:2>May the Lord hear you in the day of tribulation. May the name of the God of Jacob protect you. May the LORD answer you in the day of trouble! May the name of the God of Jacob protect you! For the director of music. A psalm of David. May the LORD answer you when you are in distress; may the name of the God of Jacob protect you.
2 <V 19:3>May he send you help from the sanctuary and watch over you from Zion. May he send you help from the sanctuary and give you support from Zion! May he send you help from the sanctuary and grant you support from Zion.
3 <V 19:4>May he be mindful of all your sacrifices, and may your burnt-offerings be fat. May he remember all your offerings and regard with favor your burnt sacrifices! Selah May he remember all your sacrifices and accept your burnt offerings.
4 <V 19:5>May he grant to you according to your heart, and confirm all your counsels. May he grant you your heart’s desire and fulfill all your plans! May he give you the desire of your heart and make all your plans succeed.
5 <V 19:6>We will rejoice in your salvation, and in the name of our God, we will be magnified. May we shout for joy over your salvation, and in the name of our God set up our banners! May the LORD fulfill all your petitions! May we shout for joy over your victory and lift up our banners in the name of our God. May the LORD grant all your requests.
6 <V 19:7>May the Lord fulfill all your petitions. Now I know that the Lord has saved his Christ. He will hear him from his holy heaven. The salvation of his right hand is in his power. Now I know that the LORD saves his anointed; he will answer him from his holy heaven with the saving might of his right hand. Now this I know: The LORD gives victory to his anointed. He answers him from his heavenly sanctuary with the victorious power of his right hand.
7 <V 19:8>Some trust in chariots, and some in horses, but we will call upon the name of the Lord our God. Some trust in chariots and some in horses, but we trust in the name of the LORD our God. Some trust in chariots and some in horses, but we trust in the name of the LORD our God.
8 <V 19:9>They have been bound, and they have fallen. But we have risen up, and we have been set upright. They collapse and fall, but we rise and stand upright. They are brought to their knees and fall, but we rise up and stand firm.
9 <V 19:10>O Lord, save the king, and hear us on the day that we will call upon you. O LORD, save the king! May he answer us when we call. LORD, give victory to the king! Answer us when we call!
