1	For the Chief Musician. By David. The fool has said in his heart, “There is no God.” They are corrupt. They have done abominable deeds. There is no one who does good.	The fool says in his heart, “There is no God.” They are corrupt, they do abominable deeds; there is none who does good.	For the director of music. Of David. The fool says in his heart, “There is no God.” They are corrupt, their deeds are vile; there is no one who does good.
2	Yahweh looked down from heaven on the children of men, to see if there were any who understood, who sought after God.	The LORD looks down from heaven on the children of man, to see if there are any who understand, who seek after God.	The LORD looks down from heaven on all mankind to see if there are any who understand, any who seek God.
3	They have all gone aside. They have together become corrupt. There is no one who does good, no, not one.	They have all turned aside; together they have become corrupt; there is none who does good, not even one.	All have turned away, all have become corrupt; there is no one who does good, not even one.
4	Have all the workers of iniquity no knowledge, who eat up my people as they eat bread, and don’t call on Yahweh?	Have they no knowledge, all the evildoers who eat up my people as they eat bread and do not call upon the LORD?	Do all these evildoers know nothing? They devour my people as though eating bread; they never call on the LORD.
5	There they were in great fear, for God is in the generation of the righteous.	There they are in great terror, for God is with the generation of the righteous.	But there they are, overwhelmed with dread, for God is present in the company of the righteous.
6	You frustrate the plan of the poor, because Yahweh is his refuge.	You would shame the plans of the poor, but the LORD is his refuge.	You evildoers frustrate the plans of the poor, but the LORD is their refuge.
7	Oh that the salvation of Israel would come out of Zion! When Yahweh restores the fortunes of his people, then Jacob shall rejoice, and Israel shall be glad.	Oh, that salvation for Israel would come out of Zion! When the LORD restores the fortunes of his people, let Jacob rejoice, let Israel be glad.	Oh, that salvation for Israel would come out of Zion! When the LORD restores his people, let Jacob rejoice and Israel be glad!
