1 False scales are an abomination to the LORD, but an honest weight, his delight. A false balance is an abomination to the LORD, but a just weight is his delight. The LORD detests dishonest scales, but accurate weights find favor with him.
2 When pride comes, disgrace comes; but with the humble is wisdom. When pride comes, then comes disgrace, but with the humble is wisdom. When pride comes, then comes disgrace, but with humility comes wisdom.

19 Justice leads toward life, but pursuit of evil, toward death. Whoever is steadfast in righteousness will live, but he who pursues evil will die. Truly the righteous attain life, but whoever pursues evil finds death.
20 The crooked in heart are an abomination to the LORD, but those who walk blamelessly are his delight. Those of crooked heart are an abomination to the LORD, but those of blameless ways are his delight. The LORD detests those whose hearts are perverse, but he delights in those whose ways are blameless.
21 Be assured, the wicked shall not go unpunished, but the offspring of the just shall escape. Be assured, an evil person will not go unpunished, but the offspring of the righteous will be delivered. Be sure of this: The wicked will not go unpunished, but those who are righteous will go free.

26 Whoever hoards grain, the people curse, but blessings are on the head of one who distributes it! The people curse him who holds back grain, but a blessing is on the head of him who sells it. People curse the one who hoards grain, but they pray God’s blessing on the one who is willing to sell.
27 Those who seek the good seek favor, but those who pursue evil will have evil come upon them. Whoever diligently seeks good seeks favor, but evil comes to him who searches for it. Whoever seeks good finds favor, but evil comes to one who searches for it.
28 Those who trust in their riches will fall, but like green leaves the just will flourish. Whoever trusts in his riches will fall, but the righteous will flourish like a green leaf. Those who trust in their riches will fall, but the righteous will thrive like a green leaf.
29 Those who trouble their household inherit the wind, and fools become slaves to the wise of heart. 30 The fruit of justice is a tree of life, and one who takes lives is a sage. The fruit of the righteous is a tree of life, and whoever captures souls is wise. The fruit of the righteous is a tree of life, and the one who is wise saves lives.
31 If the just are recompensed on the earth, how much more the wicked and the sinner! If the righteous is repaid on earth, how much more the wicked and the sinner! If the righteous receive their due on earth, how much more the ungodly and the sinner!
