10 My sonne, if sinners entice thee, consent not vnto them. My son, if sinners entice you, do not consent. My son, if sinful men entice you, do not give in to them.
11 If they say, come with vs, let vs lay wayte for blood, and lurke priuily for the innocent without a cause: If they say, “Come with us, let us lie in wait for blood; let us ambush the innocent without reason; If they say, “Come along with us; let’s lie in wait for innocent blood, let’s ambush some harmless soul;
12 Let vs swallowe them vp lyke the graue quicke and whole, as those that go downe into the pit: like Sheol let us swallow them alive, and whole, like those who go down to the pit; let’s swallow them alive, like the grave, and whole, like those who go down to the pit;
13 So shall we finde all maner of costly riches, and fill our houses with spoyles: we shall find all precious goods, we shall fill our houses with plunder; we will get all sorts of valuable things and fill our houses with plunder;
14 Cast in thy lot among vs, and let vs all haue one purse. throw in your lot among us; we will all have one purse”— cast lots with us; we will all share the loot|—
15 My sonne, walke not thou with them, refrayne thy foote from their wayes. my son, do not walk in the way with them; hold back your foot from their paths, my son, do not go along with them, do not set foot on their paths;
