33 |Listen to another parable: There was a landowner who planted a vineyard. He put a fence around it, dug a pit for its winepress, and built a watchtower. Then he leased it to tenant farmers and went on a journey. “Hear another parable. There was a master of a house who planted a vineyard and put a fence around it and dug a winepress in it and built a tower and leased it to tenants, and went into another country. “Listen to another parable: There was a landowner who planted a vineyard. He put a wall around it, dug a winepress in it and built a watchtower. Then he rented the vineyard to some farmers and moved to another place.
34 When the harvest time was near, he sent his slaves to the tenants to collect his portion of the crop. When the season for fruit drew near, he sent his servants to the tenants to get his fruit. When the harvest time approached, he sent his servants to the tenants to collect his fruit.

41 They said to him, |He will utterly destroy those evil men! Then he will lease the vineyard to other tenants who will give him his portion at the harvest.| They said to him, “He will put those wretches to a miserable death and let out the vineyard to other tenants who will give him the fruits in their seasons.” “He will bring those wretches to a wretched end,” they replied, “and he will rent the vineyard to other tenants, who will give him his share of the crop at harvest time.”
