1 And having looked up, He saw the ones casting their gifts into the treasury—the rich. Jesus looked up and saw the rich putting their gifts into the offering box, As Jesus looked up, he saw the rich putting their gifts into the temple treasury.
2 And He saw a certain poor widow casting there two lepta. and he saw a poor widow put in two small copper coins. He also saw a poor widow put in two very small copper coins.
3 “And He said, “Truly I say to you⁺ that this poor widow cast in more than all. And he said, “Truly, I tell you, this poor widow has put in more than all of them. “Truly I tell you,” he said, “this poor widow has put in more than all the others.
4 For these all cast in the gifts out of that which is abounding to them, but she out of her lack cast in all the livelihood that she had.” For they all contributed out of their abundance, but she out of her poverty put in all she had to live on.” All these people gave their gifts out of their wealth; but she out of her poverty put in all she had to live on.”
