| 16 | καὶ ἐὰν κρίνω δὲ ἐγώ ἡ κρίσις ἡ ἐμὴ ἀληθινή ἐστιν ὅτι μόνος οὐκ εἰμί ἀλλ’ ἐγὼ καὶ ὁ πέμψας με ‹πατήρ› | Yet even if I do judge, my judgment is true, for it is not I alone who judge, but I and the Father who sent me. | But if I do judge, my decisions are true, because I am not alone. I stand with the Father, who sent me. | |
| 17 | Καὶ ἐν τῷ νόμῳ δὲ τῷ ὑμετέρῳ γέγραπται ὅτι δύο ἀνθρώπων ἡ μαρτυρία ἀληθής ἐστιν | In your Law it is written that the testimony of two people is true. | In your own Law it is written that the testimony of two witnesses is true. | |
| 18 | ἐγώ εἰμι ὁ μαρτυρῶν περὶ ἐμαυτοῦ καὶ μαρτυρεῖ περὶ ἐμοῦ ὁ πέμψας με Πατήρ | I am the one who bears witness about myself, and the Father who sent me bears witness about me.” | I am one who testifies for myself; my other witness is the Father, who sent me.” | |
