1 These things spake Jesus; and lifting up his eyes to heaven, he said, Father, the hour is come; glorify thy Son, that the Son may glorify thee: When Jesus had spoken these words, he lifted up his eyes to heaven, and said, “Father, the hour has come; glorify your Son that the Son may glorify you, After Jesus said this, he looked toward heaven and prayed: “Father, the hour has come. Glorify your Son, that your Son may glorify you.
2 even as thou gavest him authority over all flesh, that whatsoever thou hast given him, to them he should give eternal life. since you have given him authority over all flesh, to give eternal life to all whom you have given him. For you granted him authority over all people that he might give eternal life to all those you have given him.
3 And this is life eternal, that they should know thee the only true God, and him whom thou didst send, even Jesus Christ. And this is eternal life, that they know you, the only true God, and Jesus Christ whom you have sent. Now this is eternal life: that they know you, the only true God, and Jesus Christ, whom you have sent.
4 I glorified thee on the earth, having accomplished the work which thou hast given me to do. I glorified you on earth, having accomplished the work that you gave me to do. I have brought you glory on earth by finishing the work you gave me to do.
5 And now, O Father, glorify thou me with thine own self with the glory which I had with thee before the world was. And now, Father, glorify me in your own presence with the glory that I had with you before the world existed. And now, Father, glorify me in your presence with the glory I had with you before the world began.
6 I manifested thy name unto the men whom thou gavest me out of the world: thine they were, and thou gavest them to me; and they have kept thy word. “I have manifested your name to the people whom you gave me out of the world. Yours they were, and you gave them to me, and they have kept your word. “I have revealed you to those whom you gave me out of the world. They were yours; you gave them to me and they have obeyed your word.
7 Now they know that all things whatsoever thou hast given me are from thee: Now they know that everything that you have given me is from you. Now they know that everything you have given me comes from you.
8 for the words which thou gavest me I have given unto them; and they received them, and knew of a truth that I came forth from thee, and they believed that thou didst send me. For I have given them the words that you gave me, and they have received them and have come to know in truth that I came from you; and they have believed that you sent me. For I gave them the words you gave me and they accepted them. They knew with certainty that I came from you, and they believed that you sent me.
9 I pray for them: I pray not for the world, but for those whom thou hast given me; for they are thine: I am praying for them. I am not praying for the world but for those whom you have given me, for they are yours. I pray for them. I am not praying for the world, but for those you have given me, for they are yours.
10 and all things that are mine are thine, and thine are mine: and I am glorified in them. All mine are yours, and yours are mine, and I am glorified in them. All I have is yours, and all you have is mine. And glory has come to me through them.
11 And I am no more in the world, and these are in the world, and I come to thee. Holy Father, keep them in thy name which thou hast given me, that they may be one, even as we are. And I am no longer in the world, but they are in the world, and I am coming to you. Holy Father, keep them in your name, which you have given me, that they may be one, even as we are one. I will remain in the world no longer, but they are still in the world, and I am coming to you. Holy Father, protect them by the power of your name, the name you gave me, so that they may be one as we are one.
12 While I was with them, I kept them in thy name which thou hast given me: and I guarded them, and not one of them perished, but the son of perdition; that the scripture might be fulfilled. While I was with them, I kept them in your name, which you have given me. I have guarded them, and not one of them has been lost except the son of destruction, that the Scripture might be fulfilled. While I was with them, I protected them and kept them safe by that name you gave me. None has been lost except the one doomed to destruction so that Scripture would be fulfilled.
13 But now I come to thee; and these things I speak in the world, that they may have my joy fulfilled in themselves. But now I am coming to you, and these things I speak in the world, that they may have my joy fulfilled in themselves. “I am coming to you now, but I say these things while I am still in the world, so that they may have the full measure of my joy within them.
14 I have given them thy word; and the world hated them, because they are not of the world, even as I am not of the world. I have given them your word, and the world has hated them because they are not of the world, just as I am not of the world. I have given them your word and the world has hated them, for they are not of the world any more than I am of the world.
15 I pray not that thou shouldest take them from the world, but that thou shouldest keep them from the evil one. I do not ask that you take them out of the world, but that you keep them from the evil one. My prayer is not that you take them out of the world but that you protect them from the evil one.
16 They are not of the world, even as I am not of the world. They are not of the world, just as I am not of the world. They are not of the world, even as I am not of it.
17 Sanctify them in the truth: thy word is truth. Sanctify them in the truth; your word is truth. Sanctify them by the truth; your word is truth.
18 As thou didst send me into the world, even so sent I them into the world. As you sent me into the world, so I have sent them into the world. As you sent me into the world, I have sent them into the world.
19 And for their sakes I sanctify myself, that they themselves also may be sanctified in truth. And for their sake I consecrate myself, that they also may be sanctified in truth. For them I sanctify myself, that they too may be truly sanctified.
20 Neither for these only do I pray, but for them also that believe on me through their word; “I do not ask for these only, but also for those who will believe in me through their word, “My prayer is not for them alone. I pray also for those who will believe in me through their message,
21 that they may all be one; even as thou, Father, art in me, and I in thee, that they also may be in us: that the world may believe that thou didst send me. that they may all be one, just as you, Father, are in me, and I in you, that they also may be in us, so that the world may believe that you have sent me. that all of them may be one, Father, just as you are in me and I am in you. May they also be in us so that the world may believe that you have sent me.
22 And the glory which thou hast given me I have given unto them; that they may be one, even as we are one; The glory that you have given me I have given to them, that they may be one even as we are one, I have given them the glory that you gave me, that they may be one as we are one—
23 I in them, and thou in me, that they may be perfected into one; that the world may know that thou didst send me, and lovedst them, even as thou lovedst me. I in them and you in me, that they may become perfectly one, so that the world may know that you sent me and loved them even as you loved me. I in them and you in me—so that they may be brought to complete unity. Then the world will know that you sent me and have loved them even as you have loved me.
24 Father, that which thou hast given me, I will that, where I am, they also may be with me; that they may behold my glory, which thou hast given me: for thou lovedst me before the foundation of the world. Father, I desire that they also, whom you have given me, may be with me where I am, to see my glory that you have given me because you loved me before the foundation of the world. “Father, I want those you have given me to be with me where I am, and to see my glory, the glory you have given me because you loved me before the creation of the world.
25 O righteous Father, the world knew thee not, but I knew thee; and these knew that thou didst send me; O righteous Father, even though the world does not know you, I know you, and these know that you have sent me. “Righteous Father, though the world does not know you, I know you, and they know that you have sent me.
26 and I made known unto them thy name, and will make it known; that the love wherewith thou lovedst me may be in them, and I in them. I made known to them your name, and I will continue to make it known, that the love with which you have loved me may be in them, and I in them.” I have made you known to them, and will continue to make you known in order that the love you have for me may be in them and that I myself may be in them.”
