Paul, an apostle—sent not from men nor by a man, but by Jesus Christ and God the Father, who raised him from the dead— Paul, an apostle—sent not from men nor by man, but by Jesus Christ and God the Father, who raised Him from the dead— Paul, an apostle—not from men nor through man, but through Jesus Christ and God the Father, who raised him from the dead—
and all the brothers and sisters with me, To the churches in Galatia: and all the brothers with me, To the churches of Galatia: and all the brothers who are with me, To the churches of Galatia:
Grace and peace to you from God our Father and the Lord Jesus Christ, Grace and peace to you from God our Father and the Lord Jesus Christ, Grace to you and peace from God our Father and the Lord Jesus Christ,
who gave himself for our sins to rescue us from the present evil age, according to the will of our God and Father, who gave Himself for our sins to rescue us from the present evil age, according to the will of our God and Father, who gave himself for our sins to deliver us from the present evil age, according to the will of our God and Father,
to whom be glory for ever and ever. Amen. to whom be glory forever and ever. Amen. to whom be the glory forever and ever. Amen.
I am astonished that you are so quickly deserting the one who called you to live in the grace of Christ and are turning to a different gospel— I am amazed how quickly you are deserting the One who called you by the grace of Christ and are turning to a different gospel— I am astonished that you are so quickly deserting him who called you in the grace of Christ and are turning to a different gospel—
which is really no gospel at all. Evidently some people are throwing you into confusion and are trying to pervert the gospel of Christ. which is not even a gospel. Evidently some people are troubling you and trying to distort the gospel of Christ. not that there is another one, but there are some who trouble you and want to distort the gospel of Christ.
But even if we or an angel from heaven should preach a gospel other than the one we preached to you, let them be under God’s curse! But even if we or an angel from heaven should preach a gospel contrary to the one we preached to you, let him be under a curse! But even if we or an angel from heaven should preach to you a gospel contrary to the one we preached to you, let him be accursed.
As we have already said, so now I say again: If anybody is preaching to you a gospel other than what you accepted, let them be under God’s curse! As we have said before, so now I say again: If anyone is preaching to you a gospel contrary to the one you received, let him be under a curse! As we have said before, so now I say again: If anyone is preaching to you a gospel contrary to the one you received, let him be accursed.
Am I now trying to win the approval of human beings, or of God? Or am I trying to please people? If I were still trying to please people, I would not be a servant of Christ. Am I now seeking the approval of men, or of God? Or am I striving to please men? If I were still trying to please men, I would not be a servant of Christ. For am I now seeking the approval of man, or of God? Or am I trying to please man? If I were still trying to please man, I would not be a servant of Christ.
I want you to know, brothers and sisters, that the gospel I preached is not of human origin. For I want you to know, brothers, that the gospel I preached was not devised by man. For I would have you know, brothers, that the gospel that was preached by me is not man’s gospel.
I did not receive it from any man, nor was I taught it; rather, I received it by revelation from Jesus Christ. I did not receive it from any man, nor was I taught it; rather, I received it by revelation from Jesus Christ. For I did not receive it from any man, nor was I taught it, but I received it through a revelation of Jesus Christ.
For you have heard of my previous way of life in Judaism, how intensely I persecuted the church of God and tried to destroy it. For you have heard of my former way of life in Judaism, how severely I persecuted the church of God and tried to destroy it. For you have heard of my former life in Judaism, how I persecuted the church of God violently and tried to destroy it.
I was advancing in Judaism beyond many of my own age among my people and was extremely zealous for the traditions of my fathers. I was advancing in Judaism beyond many of my contemporaries and was extremely zealous for the traditions of my fathers. And I was advancing in Judaism beyond many of my own age among my people, so extremely zealous was I for the traditions of my fathers.
But when God, who set me apart from my mother’s womb and called me by his grace, was pleased But when God, who set me apart from my mother’s womb and called me by His grace, was pleased But when he who had set me apart before I was born, and who called me by his grace,
to reveal his Son in me so that I might preach him among the Gentiles, my immediate response was not to consult any human being. to reveal His Son in me so that I might preach Him among the Gentiles, I did not rush to consult with flesh and blood, was pleased to reveal his Son to me, in order that I might preach him among the Gentiles, I did not immediately consult with anyone;
I did not go up to Jerusalem to see those who were apostles before I was, but I went into Arabia. Later I returned to Damascus. nor did I go up to Jerusalem to the apostles who came before me, but I went into Arabia and later returned to Damascus. nor did I go up to Jerusalem to those who were apostles before me, but I went away into Arabia, and returned again to Damascus.
Then after three years, I went up to Jerusalem to get acquainted with Cephas and stayed with him fifteen days. Only after three years did I go up to Jerusalem to confer with Cephas, and I stayed with him fifteen days. Then after three years I went up to Jerusalem to visit Cephas and remained with him fifteen days.
I saw none of the other apostles—only James, the Lord’s brother. But I saw none of the other apostles except James, the Lord’s brother. But I saw none of the other apostles except James the Lord’s brother.
I assure you before God that what I am writing you is no lie. I assure you before God that what I am writing to you is no lie. (In what I am writing to you, before God, I do not lie!)
Then I went to Syria and Cilicia. Later I went to the regions of Syria and Cilicia. Then I went into the regions of Syria and Cilicia.
I was personally unknown to the churches of Judea that are in Christ. I was personally unknown, however, to the churches of Judea that are in Christ. And I was still unknown in person to the churches of Judea that are in Christ.
They only heard the report: “The man who formerly persecuted us is now preaching the faith he once tried to destroy.” They only heard the account: “The man who formerly persecuted us is now preaching the faith he once tried to destroy.” They only were hearing it said, “He who used to persecute us is now preaching the faith he once tried to destroy.”
And they praised God because of me. And they glorified God because of me. And they glorified God because of me.
