2 He made the ephod of gold, blue, purple, scarlet, and fine twined linen. He made the ephod of gold, blue and purple and scarlet yarns, and fine twined linen. They made the ephod of gold, and of blue, purple and scarlet yarn, and of finely twisted linen.
3 They beat the gold into thin plates, and cut it into wires, to work it in with the blue, the purple, the scarlet, and the fine linen, the work of the skillful workman. And they hammered out gold leaf, and he cut it into threads to work into the blue and purple and the scarlet yarns, and into the fine twined linen, in skilled design. They hammered out thin sheets of gold and cut strands to be worked into the blue, purple and scarlet yarn and fine linen—the work of skilled hands.
4 They made shoulder straps for it, joined together. It was joined together at the two ends. They made for the ephod attaching shoulder pieces, joined to it at its two edges. They made shoulder pieces for the ephod, which were attached to two of its corners, so it could be fastened.
5 The skillfully woven band that was on it, with which to fasten it on, was of the same piece, like its work: of gold, of blue, purple, scarlet, and fine twined linen, as Yahweh commanded Moses. And the skillfully woven band on it was of one piece with it and made like it, of gold, blue and purple and scarlet yarns, and fine twined linen, as the LORD had commanded Moses. Its skillfully woven waistband was like it—of one piece with the ephod and made with gold, and with blue, purple and scarlet yarn, and with finely twisted linen, as the LORD commanded Moses.
