| 2 | וַ֠יֵּרָא מַלְאַ֨ךְ יְהֹוָ֥ה אֵלָ֛יו בְּלַבַּת־ אֵ֖שׁ מִתּ֣וֹךְ הַסְּנֶ֑ה וַיַּ֗רְא וְהִנֵּ֤ה הַסְּנֶה֙ בֹּעֵ֣ר בָּאֵ֔שׁ וְהַסְּנֶ֖ה אֵינֶ֥נּוּ אֻכָּֽל׃ | And the angel of the LORD appeared to him in a flame of fire out of the midst of a bush. He looked, and behold, the bush was burning, yet it was not consumed. | There the angel of the LORD appeared to him in flames of fire from within a bush. Moses saw that though the bush was on fire it did not burn up. | |
| 3 | וַיֹּ֣אמֶר מֹשֶׁ֔ה אָסֻֽרָה־ נָּ֣א וְאֶרְאֶ֔ה אֶת־ הַמַּרְאֶ֥ה הַגָּדֹ֖ל הַזֶּ֑ה מַדּ֖וּעַ לֹא־ יִבְעַ֥ר הַסְּנֶֽה׃ | And Moses said, “I will turn aside to see this great sight, why the bush is not burned.” | So Moses thought, “I will go over and see this strange sight—why the bush does not burn up.” | |
| 4 | וַיַּ֥רְא יְהוָ֖ה כִּ֣י סָ֣ר לִרְא֑וֹת וַיִּקְרָא֩ אֵלָ֨יו אֱלֹהִ֜ים מִתּ֣וֹךְ הַסְּנֶ֗ה וַיֹּ֛אמֶר מֹשֶׁ֥ה מֹשֶׁ֖ה וַיֹּ֥אמֶר הִנֵּֽנִי׃ | When the LORD saw that he turned aside to see, God called to him out of the bush, “Moses, Moses!” And he said, “Here I am.” | When the LORD saw that he had gone over to look, God called to him from within the bush, “Moses! Moses!” And Moses said, “Here I am.” | |
| 5 | וַיֹּ֖אמֶר אַל־ תִּקְרַ֣ב הֲלֹ֑ם שַׁל־ נְעָלֶ֙יךָ֙ מֵעַ֣ל רַגְלֶ֔יךָ כִּ֣י הַמָּק֗וֹם אֲשֶׁ֤ר אַתָּה֙ עוֹמֵ֣ד עָלָ֔יו אַדְמַת־ קֹ֖דֶשׁ הֽוּא׃ | Then he said, “Do not come near; take your sandals off your feet, for the place on which you are standing is holy ground.” | “Do not come any closer,” God said. “Take off your sandals, for the place where you are standing is holy ground.” | |
