1 From Paul, an apostle of Christ Jesus by God's will. To God's holy and faithful people who are united with Christ in the city of Ephesus. 3 Praise the God and Father of our Lord Jesus Christ! Through Christ, God has blessed us with every spiritual blessing that heaven has to offer. Blessed be the God and Father of our Lord Jesus Christ, who has blessed us in Christ with every spiritual blessing in the heavenly places, Praise be to the God and Father of our Lord Jesus Christ, who has blessed us in the heavenly realms with every spiritual blessing in Christ.
4 Before the creation of the world, he chose us through Christ to be holy and perfect in his presence. even as he chose us in him before the foundation of the world, that we should be holy and blameless before him. 5 Because of his love he had already decided to adopt us through Jesus Christ. He freely chose to do this he predestined us for adoption to himself as sons through Jesus Christ, according to the purpose of his will, he predestined us for adoption to sonship through Jesus Christ, in accordance with his pleasure and will—
6 so that the kindness he had given us in his dear Son would be praised and given glory. to the praise of his glorious grace, with which he has blessed us in the Beloved. to the praise of his glorious grace, which he has freely given us in the One he loves.
7 Through the blood of his Son, we are set free from our sins. God forgives our failures because of his overflowing kindness. In him we have redemption through his blood, the forgiveness of our trespasses, according to the riches of his grace, In him we have redemption through his blood, the forgiveness of sins, in accordance with the riches of God’s grace
8 He poured out his kindness by giving us every kind of wisdom and insight which he lavished upon us, in all wisdom and insight that he lavished on us. With all wisdom and understanding,
9 when he revealed the mystery of his plan to us. He had decided to do this through Christ. making known to us the mystery of his will, according to his purpose, which he set forth in Christ he made known to us the mystery of his will according to his good pleasure, which he purposed in Christ,
10 He planned to bring all of history to its goal in Christ. Then Christ would be the head of everything in heaven and on earth. as a plan for the fullness of time, to unite all things in him, things in heaven and things on earth. to be put into effect when the times reach their fulfillment—to bring unity to all things in heaven and on earth under Christ.
11 God also decided ahead of time to choose us through Christ according to his plan, which makes everything work the way he intends. In him we have obtained an inheritance, having been predestined according to the purpose of him who works all things according to the counsel of his will, In him we were also chosen, having been predestined according to the plan of him who works out everything in conformity with the purpose of his will,
12 He planned all of this so that we who had already focused our hope on Christ would praise him and give him glory. so that we who were the first to hope in Christ might be to the praise of his glory. in order that we, who were the first to put our hope in Christ, might be for the praise of his glory.
13 You heard and believed the message of truth, the Good News that he has saved you. In him you were sealed with the Holy Spirit whom he promised. In him you also, when you heard the word of truth, the gospel of your salvation, and believed in him, were sealed with the promised Holy Spirit, And you also were included in Christ when you heard the message of truth, the gospel of your salvation. When you believed, you were marked in him with a seal, the promised Holy Spirit,
14 This Holy Spirit is the guarantee that we will receive our inheritance. We have this guarantee until we are set free to belong to him. God receives praise and glory for this. who is the guarantee of our inheritance until we acquire possession of it, to the praise of his glory. who is a deposit guaranteeing our inheritance until the redemption of those who are God’s possession—to the praise of his glory.
15 I, too, have heard about your faith in the Lord Jesus and your love for all of God's people. For this reason For this reason, because I have heard of your faith in the Lord Jesus and your love toward all the saints, For this reason, ever since I heard about your faith in the Lord Jesus and your love for all God’s people,

17 I pray that the glorious Father, the God of our Lord Jesus Christ, would give you a spirit of wisdom and revelation as you come to know Christ better. that the God of our Lord Jesus Christ, the Father of glory, may give you the Spirit of wisdom and of revelation in the knowledge of him, I keep asking that the God of our Lord Jesus Christ, the glorious Father, may give you the Spirit of wisdom and revelation, so that you may know him better.
18 Then you will have deeper insight. You will know the confidence that he calls you to have and the glorious wealth that God's people will inherit. having the eyes of your hearts enlightened, that you may know what is the hope to which he has called you, what are the riches of his glorious inheritance in the saints, I pray that the eyes of your heart may be enlightened in order that you may know the hope to which he has called you, the riches of his glorious inheritance in his holy people,
19 You will also know the unlimited greatness of his power as it works with might and strength for us, the believers. and what is the immeasurable greatness of his power toward us who believe, according to the working of his great might and his incomparably great power for us who believe. That power is the same as the mighty strength
20 He worked with that same power in Christ when he brought him back to life and gave him the highest position in heaven. that he worked in Christ when he raised him from the dead and seated him at his right hand in the heavenly places, he exerted when he raised Christ from the dead and seated him at his right hand in the heavenly realms,
21 He is far above all rulers, authorities, powers, lords, and all other names that can be named, not only in this present world but also in the world to come. far above all rule and authority and power and dominion, and above every name that is named, not only in this age but also in the one to come. far above all rule and authority, power and dominion, and every name that is invoked, not only in the present age but also in the one to come.
22 God has put everything under the control of Christ. He has made Christ the head of everything for the good of the church. And he put all things under his feet and gave him as head over all things to the church, And God placed all things under his feet and appointed him to be head over everything for the church,
23 The church is Christ's body and completes him as he fills everything in every way. which is his body, the fullness of him who fills all in all. which is his body, the fullness of him who fills everything in every way.
