But concerning the times and the seasons, brothers, you have no need that anything be written to you. Now concerning the times and the seasons, brothers, you have no need to have anything written to you. Now, brothers and sisters, about times and dates we do not need to write to you,
For you yourselves know well that the day of the Lord comes like a thief in the night. For you yourselves are fully aware that the day of the Lord will come like a thief in the night. for you know very well that the day of the Lord will come like a thief in the night.
For when they are saying, “Peace and safety,” then sudden destruction will come on them, like birth pains on a pregnant woman. Then they will in no way escape. While people are saying, “There is peace and security,” then sudden destruction will come upon them as labor pains come upon a pregnant woman, and they will not escape. While people are saying, “Peace and safety,” destruction will come on them suddenly, as labor pains on a pregnant woman, and they will not escape.
But you, brothers, aren’t in darkness, that the day should overtake you like a thief. But you are not in darkness, brothers, for that day to surprise you like a thief. But you, brothers and sisters, are not in darkness so that this day should surprise you like a thief.
You are all children of light and children of the day. We don’t belong to the night, nor to darkness, For you are all children of light, children of the day. We are not of the night or of the darkness. You are all children of the light and children of the day. We do not belong to the night or to the darkness.
so then let’s not sleep, as the rest do, but let’s watch and be sober. So then let us not sleep, as others do, but let us keep awake and be sober. So then, let us not be like others, who are asleep, but let us be awake and sober.
For those who sleep, sleep in the night; and those who are drunk are drunk in the night. For those who sleep, sleep at night, and those who get drunk, are drunk at night. For those who sleep, sleep at night, and those who get drunk, get drunk at night.
But since we belong to the day, let’s be sober, putting on the breastplate of faith and love, and for a helmet, the hope of salvation. But since we belong to the day, let us be sober, having put on the breastplate of faith and love, and for a helmet the hope of salvation. But since we belong to the day, let us be sober, putting on faith and love as a breastplate, and the hope of salvation as a helmet.
For God didn’t appoint us to wrath, but to the obtaining of salvation through our Lord Jesus Christ, For God has not destined us for wrath, but to obtain salvation through our Lord Jesus Christ, For God did not appoint us to suffer wrath but to receive salvation through our Lord Jesus Christ.
who died for us, that, whether we wake or sleep, we should live together with him. who died for us so that whether we are awake or asleep we might live with him. He died for us so that, whether we are awake or asleep, we may live together with him.
Therefore exhort one another, and build each other up, even as you also do. Therefore encourage one another and build one another up, just as you are doing. Therefore encourage one another and build each other up, just as in fact you are doing.
But we beg you, brothers, to know those who labor among you, and are over you in the Lord and admonish you, We ask you, brothers, to respect those who labor among you and are over you in the Lord and admonish you, Now we ask you, brothers and sisters, to acknowledge those who work hard among you, who care for you in the Lord and who admonish you.
and to respect and honor them in love for their work’s sake. Be at peace among yourselves. and to esteem them very highly in love because of their work. Be at peace among yourselves. Hold them in the highest regard in love because of their work. Live in peace with each other.
We exhort you, brothers: Admonish the disorderly; encourage the faint-hearted; support the weak; be patient toward all. And we urge you, brothers, admonish the idle, encourage the fainthearted, help the weak, be patient with them all. And we urge you, brothers and sisters, warn those who are idle and disruptive, encourage the disheartened, help the weak, be patient with everyone.
See that no one returns evil for evil to anyone, but always follow after that which is good for one another and for all. See that no one repays anyone evil for evil, but always seek to do good to one another and to everyone. Make sure that nobody pays back wrong for wrong, but always strive to do what is good for each other and for everyone else.
Always rejoice. Rejoice always, Rejoice always,
Pray without ceasing. pray without ceasing, pray continually,
In everything give thanks, for this is the will of God in Christ Jesus toward you. give thanks in all circumstances; for this is the will of God in Christ Jesus for you. give thanks in all circumstances; for this is God’s will for you in Christ Jesus.
Don’t quench the Spirit. Do not quench the Spirit. Do not quench the Spirit.
Don’t despise prophecies. Do not despise prophecies, Do not treat prophecies with contempt
Test all things, and hold firmly that which is good. but test everything; hold fast what is good. but test them all; hold on to what is good,
Abstain from every form of evil. Abstain from every form of evil. reject every kind of evil.
May the God of peace himself sanctify you completely. May your whole spirit, soul, and body be preserved blameless at the coming of our Lord Jesus Christ. Now may the God of peace himself sanctify you completely, and may your whole spirit and soul and body be kept blameless at the coming of our Lord Jesus Christ. May God himself, the God of peace, sanctify you through and through. May your whole spirit, soul and body be kept blameless at the coming of our Lord Jesus Christ.
He who calls you is faithful, who will also do it. He who calls you is faithful; he will surely do it. The one who calls you is faithful, and he will do it.
Brothers, pray for us. Brothers, pray for us. Brothers and sisters, pray for us.
Greet all the brothers with a holy kiss. Greet all the brothers with a holy kiss. Greet all God’s people with a holy kiss.
I solemnly command you by the Lord that this letter be read to all the holy brothers. I put you under oath before the Lord to have this letter read to all the brothers. I charge you before the Lord to have this letter read to all the brothers and sisters.
The grace of our Lord Jesus Christ be with you. Amen. The grace of our Lord Jesus Christ be with you. The grace of our Lord Jesus Christ be with you.
