1 With regard to the collection for the saints, please follow the directions that I gave to the churches of Galatia: Now concerning the collection for the saints: as I directed the churches of Galatia, so you also are to do. Now about the collection for the Lord’s people: Do what I told the Galatian churches to do.
2 On the first day of the week, each of you should set aside some income and save it to the extent that God has blessed you, so that a collection will not have to be made when I come. On the first day of every week, each of you is to put something aside and store it up, as he may prosper, so that there will be no collecting when I come. On the first day of every week, each one of you should set aside a sum of money in keeping with your income, saving it up, so that when I come no collections will have to be made.
3 Then, when I arrive, I will send those whom you approve with letters of explanation to carry your gift to Jerusalem.
