22	וַיִּתְאַבֵּ֛ל אֶפְרַ֥יִם אֲבִיהֶ֖ם יָמִ֣ים רַבִּ֑ים וַיָּבֹ֥אוּ אֶחָ֖יו לְנַחֲמֽוֹ׃	And Ephraim their father mourned many days, and his brothers came to comfort him.	Their father Ephraim mourned for them many days, and his relatives came to comfort him.
23	וַיָּבֹא֙ אֶל־ אִשְׁתּ֔וֹ וַתַּ֖הַר וַתֵּ֣לֶד בֵּ֑ן וַיִּקְרָ֤א אֶת־ שְׁמוֹ֙ בְּרִיעָ֔ה כִּ֥י בְרָעָ֖ה הָיְתָ֥ה בְּבֵיתֽוֹ׃	And Ephraim went in to his wife, and she conceived and bore a son. And he called his name Beriah, because disaster had befallen his house.	Then he made love to his wife again, and she became pregnant and gave birth to a son. He named him Beriah, because there had been misfortune in his family.
24	וּבִתּ֣וֹ שֶׁאֱרָ֔ה וַתִּ֧בֶן אֶת־ בֵּית־ חוֹר֛וֹן הַתַּחְתּ֖וֹן וְאֶת־ הָעֶלְי֑וֹן וְאֵ֖ת אֻזֵּ֥ן שֶׁאֱרָֽה׃	His daughter was Sheerah, who built both Lower and Upper Beth-horon, and Uzzen-sheerah.	His daughter was Sheerah, who built Lower and Upper Beth Horon as well as Uzzen Sheerah.
25	וְרֶ֣פַח בְּנ֗וֹ וְרֶ֧שֶׁף וְתֶ֛לַח בְּנ֖וֹ וְתַ֥חַן בְּנֽוֹ׃	Rephah was his son, Resheph his son, Telah his son, Tahan his son,	Rephah was his son, Resheph his son, Telah his son, Tahan his son,

28	וַאֲחֻזָּתָם֙ וּמֹ֣שְׁבוֹתָ֔ם בֵּֽית־ אֵ֖ל וּבְנֹתֶ֑יהָ וְלַמִּזְרָ֣ח נַעֲרָ֔ן וְלַֽמַּעֲרָ֗ב גֶּ֤זֶר וּבְנֹתֶ֙יהָ֙ וּשְׁכֶ֣ם וּבְנֹתֶ֔יהָ עַד־ עַיָּ֖ה וּבְנֹתֶֽיהָ׃	Their possessions and settlements were Bethel and its towns, and to the east Naaran, and to the west Gezer and its towns, Shechem and its towns, and Ayyah and its towns;	Their lands and settlements included Bethel and its surrounding villages, Naaran to the east, Gezer and its villages to the west, and Shechem and its villages all the way to Ayyah and its villages.
29	וְעַל־ יְדֵ֣י בְנֵי־ מְנַשֶּׁ֗ה בֵּית־ שְׁאָ֤ן וּבְנֹתֶ֙יהָ֙ תַּעְנַ֣ךְ וּבְנֹתֶ֔יהָ מְגִדּ֥וֹ וּבְנוֹתֶ֖יהָ דּ֣וֹר וּבְנוֹתֶ֑יהָ בְּאֵ֙לֶּה֙ יָשְׁב֔וּ בְּנֵ֥י יוֹסֵ֖ף בֶּן־ יִשְׂרָאֵֽל׃ פ	also in possession of the Manassites, Beth-shean and its towns, Taanach and its towns, Megiddo and its towns, Dor and its towns. In these lived the sons of Joseph the son of Israel.	Along the borders of Manasseh were Beth Shan, Taanach, Megiddo and Dor, together with their villages. The descendants of Joseph son of Israel lived in these towns.
30	בְּנֵ֣י אָשֵׁ֗ר יִמְנָ֧ה וְיִשְׁוָ֛ה וְיִשְׁוִ֥י וּבְרִיעָ֖ה וְשֶׂ֥רַח אֲחוֹתָֽם׃	The sons of Asher: Imnah, Ishvah, Ishvi, Beriah, and their sister Serah.	The sons of Asher: Imnah, Ishvah, Ishvi and Beriah. Their sister was Serah.
31	וּבְנֵ֣י בְרִיעָ֔ה חֶ֖בֶר וּמַלְכִּיאֵ֑ל ה֖וּא אֲבִ֥י [ברזות] (בִרְזָֽיִת׃)	The sons of Beriah: Heber, and Malchiel, who fathered Birzaith.	The sons of Beriah: Heber and Malkiel, who was the father of Birzaith.
32	וְחֶ֙בֶר֙ הוֹלִ֣יד אֶת־ יַפְלֵ֔ט וְאֶת־ שׁוֹמֵ֖ר וְאֶת־ חוֹתָ֑ם וְאֵ֖ת שׁוּעָ֥א אֲחוֹתָֽם׃	Heber fathered Japhlet, Shomer, Hotham, and their sister Shua.	Heber was the father of Japhlet, Shomer and Hotham and of their sister Shua.
33	וּבְנֵ֣י יַפְלֵ֔ט פָּסַ֥ךְ וּבִמְהָ֖ל וְעַשְׁוָ֑ת אֵ֖לֶּה בְּנֵ֥י יַפְלֵֽט׃	The sons of Japhlet: Pasach, Bimhal, and Ashvath. These are the sons of Japhlet.	The sons of Japhlet: Pasak, Bimhal and Ashvath. These were Japhlet’s sons.
34	וּבְנֵ֖י שָׁ֑מֶר אֲחִ֥י [ורוהגה] (וְרָהְגָּ֖ה) [יחבה] (וְחֻבָּ֥ה) וַאֲרָֽם׃	The sons of Shemer his brother: Rohgah, Jehubbah, and Aram.	The sons of Shomer: Ahi, Rohgah, Hubbah and Aram.
35	וּבֶן־ הֵ֖לֶם אָחִ֑יו צוֹפַ֥ח וְיִמְנָ֖ע וְשֵׁ֥לֶשׁ וְעָמָֽל׃	The sons of Helem his brother: Zophah, Imna, Shelesh, and Amal.	The sons of his brother Helem: Zophah, Imna, Shelesh and Amal.
36	בְּנֵ֖י צוֹפָ֑ח ס֧וּחַ וְחַרְנֶ֛פֶר וְשׁוּעָ֖ל וּבֵרִ֥י וְיִמְרָֽה׃	The sons of Zophah: Suah, Harnepher, Shual, Beri, Imrah.	The sons of Zophah: Suah, Harnepher, Shual, Beri, Imrah,
37	בֶּ֣צֶר וָה֗וֹד וְשַׁמָּ֧א וְשִׁלְשָׁ֛ה וְיִתְרָ֖ן וּבְאֵרָֽא׃	Bezer, Hod, Shamma, Shilshah, Ithran, and Beera.	Bezer, Hod, Shamma, Shilshah, Ithran and Beera.
38	וּבְנֵ֖י יֶ֑תֶר יְפֻנֶּ֥ה וּפִסְפָּ֖ה וַאְרָֽא׃	The sons of Jether: Jephunneh, Pispa, and Ara.	The sons of Jether: Jephunneh, Pispah and Ara.
39	וּבְנֵ֖י עֻלָּ֑א אָרַ֥ח וְחַנִּיאֵ֖ל וְרִצְיָֽא׃	The sons of Ulla: Arah, Hanniel, and Rizia.	The sons of Ulla: Arah, Hanniel and Rizia.
40	כָּל־ אֵ֣לֶּה בְנֵי־ אָ֠שֵׁר רָאשֵׁ֨י בֵית־ הָאָב֤וֹת בְּרוּרִים֙ גִּבּוֹרֵ֣י חֲיָלִ֔ים רָאשֵׁ֖י הַנְּשִׂיאִ֑ים וְהִתְיַחְשָׂ֤ם בַּצָּבָא֙ בַּמִּלְחָמָ֔ה מִסְפָּרָ֣ם אֲנָשִׁ֔ים עֶשְׂרִ֥ים וְשִׁשָּׁ֖ה אָֽלֶף׃ ס	All of these were men of Asher, heads of fathers’ houses, approved, mighty warriors, chiefs of the princes. Their number enrolled by genealogies, for service in war, was 26,000 men.	All these were descendants of Asher—heads of families, choice men, brave warriors and outstanding leaders. The number of men ready for battle, as listed in their genealogy, was 26,000.
