Psalm 61
NLT Parallel ESV [BSB CSB ESV HCS KJV ISV NAS NET NIV NLT HEB]
New Living TranslationEnglish Standard Version
1O God, listen to my cry! Hear my prayer!1Hear my cry, O God, listen to my prayer;
2From the ends of the earth, I cry to you for help when my heart is overwhelmed. Lead me to the towering rock of safety,2from the end of the earth I call to you when my heart is faint. Lead me to the rock that is higher than I,
3for you are my safe refuge, a fortress where my enemies cannot reach me.3for you have been my refuge, a strong tower against the enemy.
4Let me live forever in your sanctuary, safe beneath the shelter of your wings! Interlude4Let me dwell in your tent forever! Let me take refuge under the shelter of your wings! Selah
5For you have heard my vows, O God. You have given me an inheritance reserved for those who fear your name.5For you, O God, have heard my vows; you have given me the heritage of those who fear your name.
6Add many years to the life of the king! May his years span the generations!6Prolong the life of the king; may his years endure to all generations!
7May he reign under God’s protection forever. May your unfailing love and faithfulness watch over him.7May he be enthroned forever before God; appoint steadfast love and faithfulness to watch over him!
8Then I will sing praises to your name forever as I fulfill my vows each day.8So will I ever sing praises to your name, as I perform my vows day after day.
