Psalm 131
NLT Parallel English Standard Version [BSB CSB ESV HCS KJV ISV NAS NET NIV NLT HEB]
New Living TranslationEnglish Standard Version
1A song for pilgrims ascending to Jerusalem. A psalm of David. LORD, my heart is not proud; my eyes are not haughty. I don't concern myself with matters too great or too awesome for me to grasp.1O LORD, my heart is not lifted up; my eyes are not raised too high; I do not occupy myself with things too great and too marvelous for me.
2Instead, I have calmed and quieted myself, like a weaned child who no longer cries for its mother's milk. Yes, like a weaned child is my soul within me.2But I have calmed and quieted my soul, like a weaned child with its mother; like a weaned child is my soul within me.
3O Israel, put your hope in the LORD--now and always.3O Israel, hope in the LORD from this time forth and forevermore.
