“Come, let us return to the LORD. He has torn us to pieces; now he will heal us. He has injured us; now he will bandage our wounds. | 1“Come, let us return to the LORD; for he has torn us, that he may heal us; he has struck us down, and he will bind us up. |
In just a short time he will restore us, so that we may live in his presence. | 2After two days he will revive us; on the third day he will raise us up, that we may live before him. |
Oh, that we might know the LORD! Let us press on to know him. He will respond to us as surely as the arrival of dawn or the coming of rains in early spring.” | 3Let us know; let us press on to know the LORD; his going out is sure as the dawn; he will come to us as the showers, as the spring rains that water the earth.” |

Yes, I have seen something horrible in Ephraim and Israel: My people are defiled by prostituting themselves with other gods! | 10In the house of Israel I have seen a horrible thing; Ephraim’s whoredom is there; Israel is defiled. |
“O Judah, a harvest of punishment is also waiting for you, though I wanted to restore the fortunes of my people. | 11For you also, O Judah, a harvest is appointed. When I restore the fortunes of my people, |
