Psalm 125
NKJV Parallel ISV [BSB CSB ESV HCS KJV ISV NAS NET NIV NLT HEB]
New King James VersionInternational Standard Version
1A Song of Ascents. Those who trust in the LORD Are like Mount Zion, Which cannot be moved, but abides forever.1Those who are trusting in the LORD are like Mount Zion, which cannot be overthrown. They remain forever.
2As the mountains surround Jerusalem, So the LORD surrounds His people From this time forth and forever.2Just as mountains encircle Jerusalem, so the LORD encircles his people, from now to eternity.
3For the scepter of wickedness shall not rest On the land allotted to the righteous, Lest the righteous reach out their hands to iniquity.3For evil's scepter will not rest on the land that has been allotted to the righteous, and so the righteous will not direct themselves to do wrong.
4Do good, O LORD, to those who are good, And to those who are upright in their hearts.4LORD, do good to those who are good, and to those who are upright in heart.
5As for such as turn aside to their crooked ways, The LORD shall lead them away With the workers of iniquity. Peace be upon Israel!5But for those who choose their own devious paths, the LORD will lead them away, along with those who practice evil. Peace be upon Israel.
