| 2As the mountains surround Jerusalem, So the LORD surrounds His people From this time forth and forever. | 2Jerusalem--the mountains surround her. And the LORD surrounds His people, both now and forever. |
| 3For the scepter of wickedness shall not rest On the land allotted to the righteous, Lest the righteous reach out their hands to iniquity. | 3The scepter of the wicked will not remain over the land allotted to the righteous, so that the righteous will not apply their hands to injustice. |
