Psalm 61
NET Parallel NLT [BSB CSB ESV HCS KJV ISV NAS NET NIV NLT HEB]
NET BibleNew Living Translation
1For the music director; to be played on a stringed instrument; written by David. O God, hear my cry for help! Pay attention to my prayer! 1O God, listen to my cry! Hear my prayer!
2From the most remote place on earth I call out to you in my despair. Lead me up to an inaccessible rocky summit! 2From the ends of the earth, I cry to you for help when my heart is overwhelmed. Lead me to the towering rock of safety,
3Indeed, you are my shelter, a strong tower that protects me from the enemy. 3for you are my safe refuge, a fortress where my enemies cannot reach me.
4I will be a permanent guest in your home; I will find shelter in the protection of your wings. (Selah) 4Let me live forever in your sanctuary, safe beneath the shelter of your wings! Interlude
5For you, O God, hear my vows; you grant me the reward that belongs to your loyal followers. 5For you have heard my vows, O God. You have given me an inheritance reserved for those who fear your name.
6Give the king long life! Make his lifetime span several generations! 6Add many years to the life of the king! May his years span the generations!
7May he reign forever before God! Decree that your loyal love and faithfulness should protect him. 7May he reign under God’s protection forever. May your unfailing love and faithfulness watch over him.
8Then I will sing praises to your name continually, as I fulfill my vows day after day. 8Then I will sing praises to your name forever as I fulfill my vows each day.
