| 2From the most remote place on earth I call out to you in my despair. Lead me up to an inaccessible rocky summit! | 2From the ends of the earth I call to you, I call as my heart grows faint; lead me to the rock that is higher than I. |
| 3Indeed, you are my shelter, a strong tower that protects me from the enemy. | 3For you have been my refuge, a strong tower against the foe. |
