| 2Let Israel be glad in his Maker; Let the sons of Zion rejoice in their King. | 2O Israel, rejoice in your Maker. O people of Jerusalem, exult in your King. |
| 3Let them praise His name with dancing; Let them sing praises to Him with timbrel and lyre. | 3Praise his name with dancing, accompanied by tambourine and harp. |
| 4For the LORD takes pleasure in His people; He will beautify the afflicted ones with salvation. | 4For the LORD delights in his people; he crowns the humble with victory. |
