Psalm 131
NASB Parallel HCSB [BSB CSB ESV HCS KJV ISV NAS NET NIV NLT HEB]
New American Standard Bible 1995Holman Christian Standard Bible
1A Song of Ascents, of David. O LORD, my heart is not proud, nor my eyes haughty; Nor do I involve myself in great matters, Or in things too difficult for me.1A Davidic song of ascents. LORD, my heart is not proud; my eyes are not haughty. I do not get involved with things too great or too difficult for me.
2Surely I have composed and quieted my soul; Like a weaned child rests against his mother, My soul is like a weaned child within me.2Instead, I have calmed and quieted myself like a little weaned child with its mother; I am like a little child.
3O Israel, hope in the LORD From this time forth and forever.3Israel, put your hope in the LORD, both now and forever.
