Psalm 54
ISV Parallel NIV [BSB CSB ESV HCS KJV ISV NAS NET NIV NLT HEB]
International Standard VersionNew International Version
1God, by your name deliver me, and by your power vindicate me.1For the director of music. With stringed instruments. A maskil of David. When the Ziphites had gone to Saul and said, "Is not David hiding among us?" Save me, O God, by your name; vindicate me by your might.
2God, listen to my prayer, and pay attention to the words of my mouth.2Hear my prayer, O God; listen to the words of my mouth.
3For the arrogant have arisen against me; oppressors have sought to take my life. They do not keep God in mind! Interlude3Arrogant foes are attacking me; ruthless people are trying to kill me-- people without regard for God.
4Look, God is my helper; the Lord is with those who are guarding my life.4Surely God is my help; the Lord is the one who sustains me.
5He will turn the evil upon those who lie in wait for me. Cut them off with your truth.5Let evil recoil on those who slander me; in your faithfulness destroy them.
6With a free will offering I will sacrifice to you; I will give thanks to your name, LORD, because it is good,6I will sacrifice a freewill offering to you; I will praise your name, LORD, for it is good.
7for he has delivered me from every trouble, and my eyes have seen the end of my enemies.7You have delivered me from all my troubles, and my eyes have looked in triumph on my foes.
