1The four descendants of Issachar included Tola, Puah, Jashub, and Shimron. 1The sons of Issachar: Tola, Puah, Jashub, and Shimron--four in all.
2Tola's descendants included Uzzi, Rephaiah, Jeriel, Jahmai, Ibsam, and Shemuel, leaders of their ancestral house of Tola, who were valiant warriors during their lifetimes. During the life of David, they numbered 22,600. 2The sons of Tola: Uzzi, Rephaiah, Jeriel, Jahmai, Jibsam, and Samuel. They were leaders of their families. In the time of David there were 22,600 warriors listed in Tola's genealogical records.
3Uzzi fathered Izrahiah, and Izrahiah fathered Michael, Obadiah, Joel, and Isshiah, all five of them leaders. 3The son of Uzzi: Izrachiah. The sons of Izrahiah: Michael, Obadiah, Joel, and Isshiah. All five were leaders.
4In addition to them, according to their ancestral records were 36,000 members of their trained army by their generations, because they had many wives and children. 4According to the genealogical records of their families, they had 36,000 warriors available for battle, for they had numerous wives and sons.
5As recorded in their genealogy, a total of 87,000 trained warriors belonged to all of the clans of Issachar.5Altogether the genealogical records of the clans of Issachar listed 87,000 warriors.
6Benjamin's three descendants included Bela, Becher, and Jediael.6The sons of Benjamin: Bela, Beker, and Jediael--three in all.
7Bela's five descendants included Ezbon, Uzzi, Uzziel, Jerimoth, and Iri, who were leaders of their ancestral households. Valiant warriors, their enrollment totaled 22,034 according to their genealogies.7The sons of Bela: Ezbon, Uzzi, Uzziel, Jerimoth, and Iri. The five of them were leaders of their families. There were 22,034 warriors listed in their genealogical records.
8Becher's descendants included Zemirah, Joash, Eliezer, Elioenai, Omri, Jeremoth, Abijah, Anathoth, and Alemeth. All these were descendants of Becher, 8The sons of Beker: Zemirah, Joash, Eliezer, Elioenai, Omri, Jeremoth, Abijah, Anathoth, and Alameth. All these were the sons of Beker.
9and their genealogical enrollment totaled 20,200 valiant warriors, delineated according to their generations as leaders of their ancestral households.9There were 20,200 family leaders and warriors listed in their genealogical records.
10Jediael fathered Bilhan, and Bilhan's descendants included Jeush, Benjamin, Ehud, Chenaanah, Zethan, Tarshish, and Ahishahar. 10The son of Jediael: Bilhan. The sons of Bilhan: Jeush, Benjamin, Ehud, Kenaanah, Zethan, Tarshish, and Ahishahar.
11All these were descendants through Jediael according to the heads of their ancestral households. Their valiant warriors totaled 17,200 equipped and ready for battle.11All these were the sons of Jediael. Listed in their genealogical records were 17,200 family leaders and warriors who were capable of marching out to battle.
12In addition, Shuppim and Huppim were the sons of Ir, and the Hushites were descended from Aher.12The Shuppites and Huppites were descendants of Ir; the Hushites were descendants of Aher.
13Naphtali's descendants included Jahziel, Guni, Jezer, and Shallum, descended through Bilhah.13The sons of Naphtali: Jahziel, Guni, Jezer, and Shallum--sons of Bilhah.
14Manasseh's descendants included Asriel, whom his Aramean mistress bore, along with Machir, who fathered Gilead. 14The sons of Manasseh: Asriel, who was born to Manasseh's Aramean concubine. She also gave birth to Makir the father of Gilead.
15Machir chose wives for his sons Huppim and for Shuppim. He had a sister named Maacah. His second son was named Zelophehad, and Zelophehad fathered only daughters.15Now Makir married a wife from the Huppites and Shuppites. (His sister's name was Maacah.) Zelophehad was Manasseh's second son; he had only daughters.
16Machir's wife Maacah bore a son whom she named Peresh. His brother was named Sheresh, and his sons were Ulam and Rekem. 16Maacah, Makir's wife, gave birth to a son, whom she named Peresh. His brother was Sheresh, and his sons were Ulam and Rekem.
17Ulam's son was Bedan. These were the children of Machir's son Gilead, who was also a descendant of Manasseh. 17The son of Ulam: Bedan. These were the sons of Gilead, son of Makir, son of Manasseh.
18His sister Hammolecheth bore Ishhod, Abiezer, and Mahlah. 18His sister Hammoleketh gave birth to Ishhod, Abiezer, and Mahlah.
19Shemida's sons included Ahian, Shechem, Likhi, and Aniam.19The sons of Shemida were Ahian, Shechem, Likhi, and Aniam.
20Ephraim's descendants included Shuthelah, his son Bered, his son Tahath, his son Eleadah, his son Tahath, 20The descendants of Ephraim: Shuthelah, his son Bered, his son Tahath, his son Eleadah, his son Tahath,
21his son Zabad, his son Shuthelah, his son Ezer, and Elead. The people of Gath, who were native to the land, killed them when they came down to raid their cattle. 21his son Zabad, his son Shuthelah (Ezer and Elead were killed by the men of Gath, who were natives of the land, when they went down to steal their cattle.
22So their father Ephraim mourned many days, and his relatives came to comfort him. 22Their father Ephraim mourned for them many days and his brothers came to console him.
23Later, Ephraim had marital relations with his wife, and she conceived and gave birth to a son, whom he named Beriah, because his household had been visited with disaster.23He had sexual relations with his wife; she became pregnant and gave birth to a son. 25Rephah was also his descendant, as were Resheph, Telah, Tahan, 25his son Rephah, his son Resheph, his son Telah, his son Tahan,

27Nun, and Joshua. 27his son Nun, and his son Joshua.
28Their possessions and settlements included Bethel and its towns, Naaran to the east, Gezer and its towns to the west, Shechem and its towns as far as Ayyah and its towns 28Their property and settlements included Bethel and its surrounding towns, Naaran to the east, Gezer and its surrounding towns to the west, and Shechem and its surrounding towns as far as Ayyah and its surrounding towns.
29along the borders of the descendants of Manasseh, Beth-shean and its towns, Taanach and its towns, Megiddo and its towns, and Dor and its towns. 31Beriah's descendants included Heber and Malchiel, who fathered Birzaith. 31The sons of Beriah: Heber and Malkiel, who was the father of Birzaith.

34Shemer's descendants included Ahi, Rohgah, Hubbah, and Aram.34The sons of his brother Shemer: Rohgah, Hubbah, and Aram.

40All of these were men of Asher, leaders of ancestral households, choice valiant mighty warriors, and chiefs among princes. Their enrolled genealogies for battle conscription totaled 26,000 men.40All these were the descendants of Asher. They were the leaders of their families, the most capable men, who were warriors and served as head chiefs. There were 26,000 warriors listed in their genealogical records as capable of doing battle.
