Psalm 43
HCSB Parallel NLT [BSB CSB ESV HCS KJV ISV NAS NET NIV NLT HEB]
Holman Christian Standard BibleNew Living Translation
1Vindicate me, God, and defend my cause against an ungodly nation; rescue me from the deceitful and unjust man. 1Declare me innocent, O God! Defend me against these ungodly people. Rescue me from these unjust liars.
2For You are the God of my refuge. Why have You rejected me? Why must I go about in sorrow because of the enemy's oppression? 2For you are God, my only safe haven. Why have you tossed me aside? Why must I wander around in grief, oppressed by my enemies?
3Send Your light and Your truth; let them lead me. Let them bring me to Your holy mountain, to Your dwelling place. 3Send out your light and your truth; let them guide me. Let them lead me to your holy mountain, to the place where you live.
4Then I will come to the altar of God, to God, my greatest joy. I will praise You with the lyre, God, my God. 4There I will go to the altar of God, to God—the source of all my joy. I will praise you with my harp, O God, my God!
5Why am I so depressed? Why this turmoil within me? Put your hope in God, for I will still praise Him, my Savior and my God. 5Why am I discouraged? Why is my heart so sad? I will put my hope in God! I will praise him again— my Savior and my God!
