Psalm 43
HCSB Parallel NET [BSB CSB ESV HCS KJV ISV NAS NET NIV NLT HEB]
Holman Christian Standard BibleNET Bible
1Vindicate me, God, and defend my cause against an ungodly nation; rescue me from the deceitful and unjust man. 1Vindicate me, O God! Fight for me against an ungodly nation! Deliver me from deceitful and evil men!
2For You are the God of my refuge. Why have You rejected me? Why must I go about in sorrow because of the enemy's oppression? 2For you are the God who shelters me. Why do you reject me? Why must I walk around mourning because my enemies oppress me?
3Send Your light and Your truth; let them lead me. Let them bring me to Your holy mountain, to Your dwelling place. 3Reveal your light and your faithfulness! They will lead me, they will escort me back to your holy hill, and to the place where you live.
4Then I will come to the altar of God, to God, my greatest joy. I will praise You with the lyre, God, my God. 4Then I will go to the altar of God, to the God who gives me ecstatic joy, so that I express my thanks to you, O God, my God, with a harp.
5Why am I so depressed? Why this turmoil within me? Put your hope in God, for I will still praise Him, my Savior and my God. 5Why are you depressed, O my soul? Why are you upset? Wait for God! For I will again give thanks to my God for his saving intervention.
